I know that in the States, for example, bicycles are mainly used as a recreational equipment (like mountain biking or excersizing for weight loss) rather than using them in a utilitarian fashion (for daily purposes of getting from one place to other, carrying stuff, or even generating electricity). I am really curious (and get very happy) to see how people use bicycles as an effective transportation mode.

It would be great to see how people in other parts of the world use bicycles creatively, effectively, and resourcefully. I've seen some striking photographs at the World of Bicycles site, for example. But they are all copy protected. Feel free to copy and use photos in this gallery, however.
